Young Sayda Bautista, resident of Intibuca recently submitted a proposal with a business plan to develop ecotourism at Laguna Madre Vieja.

The proposal involves the residents of Laguna Madre Vieja setting up a recreational center with different amenities like paddle boats, fishing facilities, cabins, hammocks, horseback riding and bicycles.

The proposal is pending approval by Pro-Empresas, a Non Governmental Organization sponsored by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
